A report by Market Research Future predicts rapid growth in automotive metal stamping. Smart-vehicle demand will drive the increase. Other positive signs include the following:
• Ford is spending $100 million to build its E-Transit van in Kansas City, Missouri.
• General Motors announced that by mid-decade, it would offer 30 all-electric vehicles. It’s aiming to sell two-thirds of them in North America.
