MNI will be at Fabtech this year in Chicago at McCormick Place Nov 11-14 booth A5974.

Since I will be manning the MNI booth at FABTECH 2019, I thought I would write a little on the benefits of attending a trade show.

It’s obvious that trade shows are the place for you to network with others in your field. Trade shows are also the best arena to gain more industry knowledge, discover new vendors, gather leads, and see the newest advances in technology.

Here are my top 5 reasons for attending a trade show:

1. Networking

Networking with like industries is good for you and your company.

Building relationships is easiest in person, face to face. A lot of time is spent communicating with prospects and customers via phone or email or social media platforms.

Trade shows allow you to nurture these valuable connections face to face forging stronger business relationships.

2. Training

Many trade shows offer training, keynote speakers, and other informational or inspirational presentations.

This is a good opportunity for you to sharpen your skills, gain more industry knowledge and keep up with latest advances in technology in your industry.

3. Brand Awareness

Be seen and be heard. Get your name out there, your logo, your brand!

4. Leads

Leads are a big part of trade shows, and there are so many ways to get such leads!

Not only can you meet prospects at the show by introducing yourself and handing out your business card, but don’t forget the exhibitor directory available online.

5. Market Research

Not only can you meet new vendors, but you can also strengthen current relationships by visiting their booth. Trade shows are also a great way to check in on your competitors.

It’s always beneficial to know what your competitors’ offerings and strengths are.

Whatever your reasons may be, have a strategy and make a plan. Trade shows are a wealth of knowledge and opportunity. Be ready to make the most of it.

Hope to see you at FABTECH 2019 Nov 11-14. To learn more about other trade shows, read our post: Upcoming Manufacturing Trade Shows You Should Know About
